LIBRELA
(NEW) monoclonal Arthritis Injectable Therapy

NEXT GENERATION ARTHRITIS MEDICATION
Librela has been on the market in Europe for over 2 years with pretty astounding results. Librela has just been approved for use in the U.S. May 2023.
Zoetis' early release program gave Dilworth Animal Hospital access to Librela 6-8 weeks ahead of the general public. We have been quite impressed with some of our patients' results!
If you are interested in more information or would like to start treatment please contact us. This medication is appropriate for moderate to severe CHRONIC arthritis dogs. (Dogs generally on chronic dosing of NSAIDs like Rimadyl, Galliprant, Previcoxx, Metacam, etc.)

Additional notes-
1) Librela can be used in combination with other arthritis medications, but expectations would be that Librela would allow your pet to come off other medications,
2) If you could take a 10-20 second video of your dog's arthritic limitations BEFORE treatment, it would be very helpful.
FOR CATS-
SOLENSIA - monoclonal treatment is also available for arthritic cats. (Most cats over 7 years of age have some arthritic pain.) We have been treating a number of our senior cats with Solensia Injectable since it's release in early 2022. There has been a great response. This is particularly exciting as cats are limited in treatments for chronic arthritis since their metabolism prevents long term use of drugs used by dogs and humans. Our team would be happy to discuss if this monoclonal therapy is appropriate for your fuzzy feline.

In order to best serve all clients we have instituted a few policies to smooth the transition to our practice.
1- We need your pet's medical record prior to your visit in order to provide best care. Please provide us with either a copy of your records or the name of an animal care facility to contact to get your records at least 48 hours prior to your appointment. If you are unable to get your pet's medical records, we may need to reschedule your visit to offer complete care.
2- Given the high demand for appointments at this time, we now require a $25 "no show" deposit for all new clients. This deposit will be collected when you make your first appointment. The entire amount will be applied to your first visit. Should you elect to cancel your appointment your deposit will be refunded, as long as cancellation happens before the close of business the day prior to your appointment (Monday- Friday 6pm, Saturday 12pm.) If you do not cancel or reschedule before the allotted time and then elect not to come to your scheduled appointment, the $25 will pay the "no show" fee.
It is not our intention to be punitive, with the high demand for appointments, we are attempting to help as many animals as we can each day. Any “no show” appointments are a missed opportunity to help other furry(and scaly) friends.

We will have some closures to the driveway in the future, for construction material delivery. We will have two-way traffic on the back alley when these closures occur. Our team will communicate these closures to the appointments affected and to clients who call in at these times.

Our original office was in an historic 1910 Bungalow that sadly was destroyed by a fire in 2019. The footprint of that building was the gravel parking lot. We have started rebuilding a house/clinic on that location. We apologize for any inconvenience construction causes.
While we are in progress we will share our plans both here and on site.
We are truly excited to be getting more exam rooms and treatment space to care for our fuzzy friends.
March 2024
March has been a productive month so far! We have made progress in ordering the steel for our glass bridge, had our new windows installed and had the final water proofing put on the outside of the building. We are eagerly awaiting exterior siding!
February 2024
This month we had our IT team coordinate, plan and start installing so many wires! We have poured more concrete and added the front porch which finally lets us see what the house will look like. The roofers came back and got the rest of the roof on.
January 2024
This was a tough month, but it could have been worse. We had some water get into Lady Grace’s basement when we had some very heavy rain. We have added an extremely ugly tarp to the side of Lady Grace now. We don’t love the look but we’re very happy to have a dry basement again. The trades continue to pull wires and add HVAC ducts.
December 2023
This was a month of solving problems. Bridging the two buildings together requires some very careful measurements and plans. We also had electricians, plumbers, and HVAC professionals working to get everything we need installed.
November 2023
We kept it going with framing and even putting on the roof this month. The building was wrapped and shingles were added to keep it dry. The plumbers and electricians started their work. We said good bye to our side porch on Lady Grace. Not to worry, this porch was not historic, we built it in 2019 to temporarily shelter our staff as they came and went through the side door. Eventually our glass bridge/ new entry to the hospital will tie to the historic building in this area.
October 2023
October felt like things were happening! The foundation was completed including the basement walls and floor. Framing started and they got to the second floor. Many kind visitors this month commented that it is really starting to "look like something!" We agree!
September 2023
This was a month of pouring concrete. Our footings were sited and rebar was added and concrete was poured. It was exciting to see real progress toward our new building!
August 2023
We got started! The site was fenced in, the foundation was dug, and the excess dirt hauled away. Mostly we traded our gravel lot for a big muddy hole, thank goodness better things are to come!
Our original home was a 1910 Bungalow that was largely destroyed in a fire Thanksgiving weekend 2019. It was torn down in July 2021. We are currently building the replacement.
Our custom built modular animal hospital gives us exam rooms, reception area, medical treatment, extra storage and laundry space. It will be with us until the replacement building for 814 is built.
Basic Information-
1) We are in our original location 814 East Blvd and in our renovated old house at 820 East. Please call our normal phone number 704-808-7387 to talk with reception about making an appointment.
2) On-line pharmacy is working and is checked daily for approvals.
3) We are offering full veterinary services including x-rays, surgeries, and dental cleanings in our new facilities.
